Description
A very rare 1813 pattern British military Baker rifle. This slightly more refined regulation rifle than the original 1805 pattern, but basically the same gun. forty six inches overall, with a 30 inch seven grooved .625 calibre Damascus barrel ( the barrel is worn and pitted but still shows the rifling ) A full walnut stock with cheek piece and regulation brass mounts with patch box. Original steel ramrod and sling swivels. The plain lock with Tower, GR under Crown and acceptance stamp is in working order. This pattern was brought out in the last few years of the Napoleonic war and could have easily seen service at Waterloo or in other conflicts such as India.
