Description
A good Napoleonic war period volunteer Baker rifle by Whately. This standard regulation Baker of 46 inches with a 30 inch, .65 calibre, bore ( the rifling is gone, but traces of it can be seen, the bore is pitted ) Regulation full walnut stock with brass mounts. The lock is signed Whately on the tail and the Crown GR in the centre. Good overall condition, let down a bit by the lack of good rifling, but this is reflected in the price.
