Description
A very nice, hallmarked, silver mounted flintlock horse pistol by Gibson, circa 1790. Walnut full stock with three stage eight inch swamped barrel of .58 bore, Thirteen and three quarter inches overall Excellent silver mounts with grotesque mask butt cap ( small dents to ramrod pipes ). The lock with rainproof pan, signed Gibson. Horn tipped ramrod with worm attachment. The pistol shows ware as would be expected but very surprising that the sliver mounts have remained in very good condition and retain good definition. A good collectors and investment piece.
