Description
A very rare English civil war sabre or hanger, circa 1640/50. This rare English sword with fine pierced basket work and wire bound copper grip. ( ref: basket of Mazanski’s pierced side ring type ). Heavy single fullered curved blade of 27 inches showing traces of a heraldic beast running through a forest ( some corrosion to the blade tip ), 33 inches overall. A very good investment piece.
