Description
A superb condition, American manufactured, Allen and Thurber percussion self cocking, bar hammer pocket or boot pistol. Circa 1850. This pistol was retailed in Britain by Gordon Sunderland of 29 Cross Street, Bishop, Wear mouth. The pistol of only 5.25 inches overall and of steel construction. The blued barrel is two stage octagonal to round, 2.5 inches long, smooth bore of .33 calibre. Good mother of pearl grips and finely engraved frame. Full working order.
