Description
This is a heavy sword or sabre of a pattern issued around 1790 to British naval officers during the Napoleonic war. The sword of 35 inches with a 30 inch, curved deep central fullered blade. The brass angled D-shaped hilt with reeded bone grip. Overall in very good condition, very minor losses to the bone grip.
