Description
A very good late 18th century flintlock officers pistol by Jas Smart of St Pauls Square, London. Regulation size pistol of fifteen inches with nine inch .7 bore browned barrel. Full walnut stock with good chequered grip, engraved brass butt plate, trigger guard and ramrod pipe. The brass side plate engraved Jas Smart, St Pauls Square. The lock with good crisp action is unsigned but heavily engraved.
