Description
A very scarce, 3rd model, five shot percussion Webley longspur revolver, circa 1856. These revolvers were probably the most graceful and elegant ever designed and manufactured in the UK, only let down by the high production costs which led to their very short life. This revolver is of the largest manufactured size, 13 inches overall with a 7 inch, 54 bore barrel and in good working order. It shows ware, but has been well maintained and still retains some of its original blue. This could easily have been in service, possibly Crimea.
