Description
A heavy duty, military grade flintlock blunderbuss pistol from the Napoleonic period, circa 1800. The eight inch, steel octagonal, swamped barrel, flares out at the muzzle to 1 inch. The barrel top flat engraved LONDON with London proofs. Full walnut stock with steel mounts and brass tipped ramrod, 13.5 inches overall. The military type lock with a strong action, unsigned. Possibly a private purchase officers pistol. Shows ware and small restorations.
