A rare pair of provincially made, flintlock, Queen Anne cannon barrel pocket pistols. The pistols made by Hereford gunmaker, Probert in the early part of the 18th century. Five and three quarter inches overall with one and a half inch turn-off cannon barrels ( barrels are frozen ) of .43 caliber. The boxlock actions signed Probert and Hereford, with slide trigger guard safety catches. Nice walnut grips with silver grotesque mask butt caps. Nice sleepy period pistols.
