Description
A rare British infantry officers presentation sword, circa 1800. The sword of 38.5 inches overall with a 33.5 inch curved double fuller blade with a fine decorated gilded hilt and wire bound shagreen grip. The decoration on the hilt of oak leaves and acorns. The blade would have been originally blued and had gilt decoration which is sadly now gone, but it still retains a fine grip. Lacking scabbard and unfortunately has no provenance A £30,000 sword at a fraction of the price from the Napoleonic wars.
