A pair of flintlock saddle pistols by Isaac Pratt of 8 Throgmorton Street, London, circa 1771. Full walnut stocks with brass mounts, grotesque mask butt caps and large silver escutcheons. Thirteen inches overall with eight and a quarter inch, .55 calibre swamped barrels. The round faced locks signed I Pratt. Original bone tipped ramrods, one with a worm. Isaac Pratt operated from 8 Throgmorton Street, London between 1771 – 1776, in 1778 he was elected master of the gunmakers company. Also making guns for the East India Co between 1773 – 1774.
