Description
A near pair of flintlock overcoat pistols by Wilson of London, circa 1815. There are small differences to the stocks of the pistols, one being slightly heavier build than the other, even though they were made as a pair. Each pistol is 9.5 inches overall with a 4.5 inch Damascus barrel of .47 calibre. The Damascus barrels signed London on the top flat, with a beaded sight and stirrup ramrods. Full walnut stocks with chequered grips and steel mounts. The working locks signed Wilson, with roller frizzens and slide safety catches. These pistols have been used and show ware as would be expected.
