A good pair of percussion manstopper pocket pistols by Askey of Bedale, circa 1850. The pistols of 7 inches overall, with 2 inch, .65 calibre, octagonal Damascus barrels ( clean bores ).Fine walnut chequered grips and finely engraved main frame and hammers. Good crisp, strong working actions. Cased in a brass mounted rosewood box along with Japanned percussion cap tin, a small fine powder flask and pincer ball mould.
