A fine example of an iron 15th century German hand and a half broad sword. Fifty and three quarter inches overall with a thirty nine and three quarter inch tapering spear point blade of flattened diamond section. Makers marks to the blade and some inlayed brass decoration to the parrying rings and pommel. The leather covered cord bound upon wooden grip. An interesting sword designed more for thrusting than slashing with a heavy iron pommel as a balance and hand grip.
