A very fine and well conserved 14th century knights battle axe. This light axe with a 10 inch blade secured to a 34 inch hardwood shaft allowing it to be used with two hands. Battle axes were made light weight to enable the knight to keep fighting without getting tired. The axe head is showing a very good set of armourers marks. Overall condition is very good ( a small section of the top point on the blade is missing ) though I think you can forgive it for the odd loss.
