A scarce percussion traveling pistol made by Westley Richards, circa 1840. Thirteen and a half inches overall with an eight and a quarter inch, .64 bore octagonal Damascus barrel. Walnut full stock with chequered grip, steel mounts and stirrup ramrod. The engraved lock is in working order, with slide safety, signed Westley Richards. Some ware but a good collectors piece by one of the leading gunmakers of the time.
