An near mint condition pepperbox pistol, circa 1850. Seven and three quarter inches overall with a two and three quarter inch six shot, .4 bore barrels. The pistol with two piece finely chequered walnut grips, the main frame still showing 40% of its original blueing with the cylinder and hammer nearly 100% of original case hardening. Good crisp action with the barrels showing Birmingham proofs, no makers name. It is clear that this has been a well travelled pistol but has had very little if any use.
