A very rare early George the second British flintlock sea service pistol, circa 1760. This early Georgian pistol has carried forward a great resemblance to the later 1802 pattern associated with the height of the Napoleonic war. This rare pistol of seventeen inches, with a ten inch, .65 bore steel barrel showing two London proof marks. Regulation brass mounts with skull crusher butt cap and steel belt hook. The lock showing the GR and Crown cypher and Tower to the tail, with strong main spring and in working order. Overall in excellent condition.
