A good 1801 pattern British naval flintlock long sea service pistol. This regulation pistol of nineteen and a half inches with a .60 bore, twelve inch barrel. Full walnut stock with regulation brass mounts and steel belt hook. This is probably one of the most iconic weapons used by the British services during the Napoleonic war and other conflicts of the period. This pistol shows a lot of ware, there are some small wood losses and cracks to the stock and small restorations. The pistol has a deep patina and is very tactile to handle, with the action still in good working order.
